2025-2026 Off Season Thread - The Rehappening

He produces in the ice time he gets. Imo one way this team could get better is if they’re able (dunno how based on what’s at market and their lack of assets) to reallocate Marner and JT dollars into upgrades up the middle on the second and third lines, with domi moving to the top line and pp unit - no reason to think he can’t produce 50 assists on Matthews flank.

No reason Matthews can't carry a guy like Domi on his line too. Thats what Florida does with Barkov-Rodrigues, which allows them to stack their second line and play Marchand on their third.

but whatever, Dummi is hardly the reason the team fails

he's just another deck chair to be shuffled, this isn't a winning core and letting Marner walk isn't going to make it one.
 
He hurts the team just as much as he helps the team most nights with his selfishly stupid penalties.

He brings some good to the table sometimes, but he's a really dumb player.

we need our best players to perform like their peers do during elimination games.

if they can't or won't do that, it makes no difference what else you do regardless of what their personality is.

what would you say Barkov's personality is?? seems pretty calm cool and collected to me
