Marchand qualifies for 35year old + bonus structured 1-yr contracts.
I.e can sign a $7M-$8M deal with cap hit of only $1M (base salary) & remainder $6M-$7M paid out as bonus - bonus is not viewed as income so he basically pockets 90% of it as a Fla resident.

That was my initial reaction, but losing Kreider doesn’t get them that much cap room and they still have Miller and Cuylle to pay.
