Say a player plays friday night and can go to the AHL for a Saturday afternoon game plays 1, 10 second shift and then gets recalled for a Sunday game. Thats legal?

Might favor teams with very close AHL locations.

That’s a fair change.

I know this is something the Leafs have taken advantage of, but it always seemed shitty that young guys making the least amount of money on two-way contracts (where the disparity between AHL & NHL pay is massive), who in every practical sense were full-time NHLers, would nonetheless get cheated out of their NHL salaries for large chunks of the season by these paper transactions.
