Holmberg was arby-eligible and glasses didn't want to bother working through the process for a guy that he obviously valued at less than his favourite $1.35/yr he pays his bottom 6 guys. Holmberg is what he is, a middling bottom six player that Toronto was able to squeeze 150 games out of for around $800/yr. He is exactly the kind of player (maybe you want a little more upside) you keep around until he gets expensive.

As for Nicky-Bobby, I'd be surprised if pizzaboy can get him for less than $4mil on his next deal, and on a 1 or 2 year deal.

I don't think the AAV will be close to $4m
