Did anyone here actually see this supposed address reveal? Does anyone here actually know the address? Id be curious to know how many people can confirm that this doxxing actually happened.

Id also like to know the address because Im pretty sure he wasn't living in the Jane-Finch area or near some sketchy Scarborough townhouse project.

I agree, it is wrong if someone actually posted it, but I never saw his address anywhere online.

Marner is, and will always will be, full of shit.

An apartment (the kind a multimillionaire player would buy or rent) would have security up the wazoo. You'd never be able to get near him.
 
I don't doubt that some jerkoff doxxed him. I also don't doubt that some other unhinged jerkoffs sent online threats to the IG or Tiktok account run by some intern or social media person.

What i doubt a whole ton though is that there was every any danger to him or his family. Most likely this is a mild inconvenience that happens to famous athletes extremely often and we never hear about it because the team's security investigates it and finds no threat, so the athlete takes it as a small downside that's part of the job and keeps it moving. That doesn't make it right obviously, doxxing sucks and should be prosecuted appropriately, but in this case it's pretty clearly being latched on to as a post facto rationale for actions he decided on months or even years ago. It's a fucking PR spin from his douche cunt agent who has a well earned reputation as a douche cunt.

Yeah, that's part of what's aggravating me in all of this. For someone who actually wished him harm, they could find him very very easily with basic investigative skills. "They put my address online!!!". My dude, your address and a lot more about you is already online.
 
Every athlete after every game, if they want to read through infinite fan comments online or run through their dms, will find endless disturbing shit. Both from haters and from stalker types who love them. Since when does any athlete pay attention to this shit? If they did, Tavares would’ve needed Secret Service to ever enter NY again. Tom Brady would be at risk everywhere other than New England. Matty and Willy no doubt got the same or more of the shit that Marner got and they have no problem.

The most pathetic part is that Mitch and his team even feel this PR spin is necessary.

Can you even imagine the backlash and mockery from around the hockey world that would’ve occurred if, on the eve of his first training camp as a Leaf, Tavares had launched a desperate PR campaign through Islanders beat reporters to justify his departure and try to convince Islanders fans to still like him in spite of it?

Instead, because Tavares isn’t a crybaby, thin-skinned, baby-soft coddled little manchild puss, he just accepted that he’d be the villain to the fanbase he chose to leave behind and moved on with his life.
 
Although it seems insane and impossible at the moment, I bet, within around 3 years, there will be rumblings of Marner wanting to come back.

I think Vegas is going to fall flat on its face with that aging roster. I think there’s a non-zero chance that Marner ends up being toxic over there before long and that he and Eichel will be oil and water, and that if Eichel walks as a UFA (odd that there’s zero talk of his status), it will be a disaster over there next year at this time. Whatever happens, when the dust settles, especially if the Leafs reach the next level without him, Marner is going to have major regrets with this decision and how he played this out.

I don’t discount the idea that Marner might be enough of a dumbass that he thinks that absence will make the heart grow fonder, and that sooner than later Leaf nation will be clamouring for his return.

Though I think even his dumb ass will be disabused of that notion after the first few times he hears the reaction of his former home crowd to him.
