Been doing the cloresterall and BP meds for 20 years. No stents yet!
Started getting some exercise over and above 16 oz curls last March. Pedal 30 minutes a night and added some weights a few weeks ago.
Still round and still wish I was young again!
Since my heart attack in 2018 I'm pretty much down to my freshman in college weight. It ain't in the same places, but that's another matter. I'm pretty much off the load bearing stuff other than maintenance on my shoulders, but I do an hour of cardio at least 6 days a week. But it's easier for me since I'm semi-retired and don't need to slog through work 10 hours a day. Nothing like a heart scare to get you serious about stuff. I do NOT recommend it.

I've dropped about 55 L B's since Oct 2019 when I started workin' on it. Just 7 more to go to my original goal (which was dropping 65 in a year, so I'm a bit behind) ... but workin' toward -20 more to get to my updated goal of 170.

Just tryin' to make sure I stay off the meds, and the operating table, as long as possible.

Stay well, y'all.

This game is unwatchable. The only upside to the game has been that the Bay Buccaneers opted for their white jerseys

UNC moron fans party after a close win over a bad Duke team?
yes, totally not smart. Of course when I was 20 I did stupid stuff too when we beat Duke. Again, not excusing the behavior, bur predictable. Having said that, the big failure was with the university and their planning (or lack thereof) with the police. Blockading the streets and assorted other tactics could have prevented the vast majority of it.

Not defending UNC students but... The focus of a college/university education has changed from providing an educational experience to develop mature responsible young adults ready to be independent and support themselves and their family into one that focuses primarily on allowing 18-30 year olds the experience of living with no supervision, no responsibilities and no consequences for their decisions.
So this latest crop can’t be blamed for their unwillingness to give up their fun. How can they be held responsible for their actions under such exciting circumstances if they’re not responsible enough to realize that taking out loans for their extended post high school play time means they have to pay them off?

Dallas Mavs no longer play the national anthem. I would guess some heads are exploding in Dallas. I could never figure out why sports plays it but almost no other event does. NC Symphony plays it at the concert to start their new season in Sept. Maybe other symphonies do that too.

never mind, the NBA said all teams must play the anthem

NC Central is dropping baseball after this season. That will leave them with 14 sports, the minimum required for Division I.

I wonder when St Aug's got rid of baseball. Must have been kinda recently
It was a couple of budget cuts ago, IIRC. Their administration has turned over yet again, the recently disposed interim president is suing them and the place is in turmoil ... again.
