2022-2023 NHL Misc. Thread

The Leafs/Bolts game follows the exact script of ours:

Game 6
Home team scores first goal
1-1 at end of regulation
Home team has the initial jump during the OT
Visiting team scores a fluky winning goal off their opponent's skate (near the same time)

Jeannot nets dman Cal Foote and 5 picks; 2023 3rd, 4th and 5th rounders, 2024 2nd and 2025 1st. The Bolts don‘t pick until the 6th round this year, the 3rd round next year. They had already sent their 1st rounder this year and next to Chicago for Brandon Hagel last March.
In an elimination game, Tanner Jeannot, acquired for Cal Foote and 5 picks, was a healthy scratch. Nice bit of business there, Mr. BriseBois.

Jeannot is a RFA with arbitration rights. His QO is $892,500.

Like I said at the time ... Jeannot is a good long term fit in Tampa. Cheap-ish checking forward who plays with some snarl but can forecheck a bit, play in a system and skate pretty well. But paying THAT much for him at the deadline was bonkers. Offer Foote and a pick and then hang up the phone, Julien.
