2023 Draft and UFA Thread

Yeah, I don't think he will still be available when we draft.

In fact, I think the 5th pick might be the easiest one to take because you basically just pick who ever is left from the top 5 guys that everyone agrees are the best. No pressure if he doesn't pan out, you took the one who was left. If it's Mitckov, so be it. Even if he doens't come here until 3 more years, we won't be contending until then anyway and it means he will be on a lower contract for longer.
 
FI fave, Ryan Leonard, not so well liked by Corey Pronman who ranks him at #11.

I like Habsy`s idea

Pick him let him dominate in the KHL and take a team to the cleaners down the road

I still think Carlsson falls to 5

Sharks are rebuilding and worse than us with many crap contracts and few kids in the funnel

Grier takes the potential home run pick and waits

That's unlikely to happen for the very good reason that there was no "top 5 guys" until recently. Will Smith is a very recent, and I think debatable, late entrant.

I think Leonard has a better career than one of those 5

Yup it was the 1A-1B Bedard/Michkov potential on talent alone tier then take your pick

I think he is a complete 200 foot player with excellent wheels , motor and scoring ablility , probably the highest floor of Smith /Carlsson combo

This years Brady K... a safe sure thing on your top 6
