Where did this myth come from?I thought Tampa reigned supreme in that area.
Supersexe , when did it shut its doorsTrue, the Arch, the Cecil and others all closed. The 5 and Brandy's are still open here. You are right though, while it is great to be able to yell "shower, shower" from G row, all of us can sit at home and watch for free.
BTW, does anyone know if that chain in the US 50 beautiful women and three ugly ones, is still around?
To somewhat move this back on topic, the gentrification is also good because I can now watch a Habs game with some nice microbrews, or at the very least, a decent import, instead of watered down/flat/recycled Labatt Blue, and I don't mind that $11 is the cost of a pint instead of a pitcher nowadays. The clubs have now been replaced with breweries, cideries & distilleries .. along with wineries, at least here in the Okanagan.. Lots to do at night, they are just not "night clubs" or "strip clubs"

FYI, Hockeyprospects Black Book is now out. They are very thorough with in depth NHL scout quotes.
Michkov: suggested a better comparible is Caufield instead of a Kaprizov or Kucherov. Some areas of his game have stagnated, and his playmaking is just avg. One scout said no way Montreal takes him at 5.
Smith: extremely talented but the downsides concern many scouts, view him as high bust potential. Qualified as a player that gets you to the playoffs, instead of through the playoffs.
Reinbacher: scout suggested that he will be picked at 5 by Montreal, and that its being driven by people other than Hughes. Many scouts don't see him being a top-10 talent, don’t see the Seider comparisons, and question if there really is offensive upside there.
Wright: nice kid, talented kid, lacks compete (guess that’s what we saw this season)Interesting
Do you know what they said last year about the top 5
I’m more curious who Chris Boucher has ranked as his top-5Boisvert has Reinbacher at 5.
Smith’s description reminds me of our last legit offensive star in his prime, Pierre Turgeon, as someone who will rack up points but in the quietest way possible. Still great value at #5 but not that elusive franchise player.FYI, Hockeyprospects Black Book is now out. They are very thorough with in depth NHL scout quotes.

Or as Krusty aptly put it, not sure 5OA is the best usage to draft a (very very useful player) like Rick GreenReinbacher is benefiting from the lack of top shelf d-men available at the draft. Got a meh vibe about him

The “Smith will get you to the playoffs but not through them” is beyond idiotic. He’s f’ing 18.
I’ve noticed that teams whose goalies are hot in the playoffs tend to have more players with high compete levels. Funny how that works.Trying to quantify/assess "Compete Level" seems to be a bigger thing recently
