2023 Draft and UFA Thread

To somewhat move this back on topic, the gentrification is also good because I can now watch a Habs game with some nice microbrews, or at the very least, a decent import, instead of watered down/flat/recycled Labatt Blue, and I don't mind that $11 is the cost of a pint instead of a pitcher nowadays.
The best way to watch a Habs game was with a $6 pitcher of Export at the Brasserie Bon Voyage on St. Jacques in NDG. The only food option was beer nuts, which were available from a gumball machine. Put in a quarter, turn the knob and catch them in your hand.

Like 10 years ago there was that trendy hipster faux retro place Chez Serge with the Coyote Ugly bartenders in biker outfits and $20 pitchers of Molson Ex (the one featured on Fallon with the Subban mural), but it moved or closed.

Must have answered he was only willing to grab $5 off the toilet seat but not $50 from the toilet (actual question Habs asked last year’s draft class)
How do you answer that correctly though?

If I walk into a bathroom with two toilets or urinals and one has a five on it and another has a fifty in it, even soiled, I'm walking out with $55.

How else is that choice even possible?

Only one toilet, 2 scenarios,

you passed....your "compete level" gives Ryan Leonard a run for his money

Then there's no choice. You take what you're given.

I guess that's the point of the question. Tough on an 18 year old. Gonna try it on my kid.

Wright: nice kid, talented kid, lacks compete (guess that’s what we saw this season)

Slaf: embraces being the go to guy on the big stage, eager to learn, needs to accept he’s a huge man who will be physically challenged, dominated Wright in head to head

Cooley: highly skilled and offensive minded, not sure how well game will translate to NHL style or willingness to adapt (eerily similar to Smith)
Sounds like they are just negative.

If you had grit you'd have used your teeth to collect the money.

True, the Arch, the Cecil and others all closed. The 5 and Brandy's are still open here. You are right though, while it is great to be able to yell "shower, shower" from G row, all of us can sit at home and watch for free.

BTW, does anyone know if that chain in the US 50 beautiful women and three ugly ones, is still around?
When I went back to Montreal in February after a 20 year absence (and 30 since I really knew the city), I really noted the huge change along the Main and elsewhere. All more respectable, cleaner and so on, but still...something missing. At least that's me.

Is it supposed to determine who is motivated by money or who is willing to deal with the hazing?

Coming out of 1st and 5th overall drafts with Slaf and frigging David Reinbacher would be embarrassing. Rienbacher screams 4th dman max. Go for one of the forwards, take a dman with the 2nd 1st rounder like Bonk or Dragicevic

I'm thinking it helps determine how far you're willing to go for the win.
I think the correct answer is to say you wouldn't take any of it and risk getting sick and not being able to play / help your teammates.
