Last year was just a much stronger draft, but we also managed to get Dach while keeping 4 picks in the first 2 rounds so that helped.

We drafted first. Had we this year I suspect we'd all not give a shit about 12 goalies selected after Bedard.

It’s the exact same scouting staff, we only switched Timmons for Bobrov, hardly an improvement.

Nobody that I’m aware of. We also don’t really have any needs, we have surplus of defensemen and forwards.

That is my assessment as well so I really don't see UFA. He may take on salary for a pick like Monahan though.

Maybe they drafted his brother to be the fighter in the future? He can't do much else.

I'm hope hopeful/optimistic about Reinbacher but hardly excited about him. Michkov, I would have been excited about, even with a three year wait.

Mike Johnson said it best today: Habs have picked four times in the top 5 in the past decade, and you don't even have 1 game-changer player to show for.
