I agree. 2017 was poor foresight. Offers for Markov and Radulov were good but you can’t really control players wishes. Alzner signing was terrible but he succeeded later with Chiarot and Edmundson. Drouin’s trade was misguided but you could reason what he was thinking. 2021 was pure panic and improvisation.The 2021 summer was much, much worse because at least in 2017, you could tell there was a plan & goal. That's not to say the plan was a good one, but at least there was one.
In 2021, it was full-on panic mode. Shit, shit, fuck, what do we do?? We gotta keep this train on the rails!! The most obvious sign was when they got Mike Hoffman, who was the exact type of player The Charlatan hated.
