Ummm...yeah he is. That kind of looks like an intentional hit to keep him out of the NHL (Twilight Zone theme)

Even worse, he played after that hit.

Yes! Lord, get that kid over here right now.Even worse, he played after that hit.
Agreed. Whenever you can stay in the top half of the league from a prospect standpoint while maintaining your status as a legitimate Cup contender, you're in a pretty good spot.Given how much quality the Canes have dealt out of the pool over the past couple of years and their relative draft positioning, that's not too bad.
The more I see Blake do his thing on a top line the more you gotta love the prospect pool pipeline! He is starting to do things with the puck that you see some of the most creative guys do in the league…his brain is really wired well in the offensive zone.Scott Wheeler at The Athletic drops the Canes prospect pool from 13 to 16. But Nikishin aged out and Blake is with the Canes. He has Morrow, Nadeau and Artamonov as his top 3. Unger Sorum and Badinka round out the top 5 of the 15 he ranked.

The Hurricanes have maintained one of the deeper pools in the league but they're a tricky group to project.www.nytimes.com

But not particularly quick feet. Blake is a savvy little customer and good in tight spaces but I've been surprised how little straight line speed the guy has.He has quick hands.
