TNT says that there are logistical challenges in Edmonton, Winnipeg and Ottawa, especially with the volume of other games they’re broadcasting across the NHL, NBA and MLB. They partnered with Sportsnet to create a “world feed” similar to what the NHL and NBA did during COVID. Sportsnet assigns 10-12 technicians to create the feed and Forslund, Botterill, etc broadcast from Atlanta. They did commit to broadcasting elimination games, unless Edmonton or Ottawa are eliminated in game 4.The general standings suckage in those cities took care of that one for ya Bucci -- no RSN to get in the way when the team is golfing.... and ya I'd be a little more sympathetic if you guys were better at your job. I like the Booch doing college games, I don't know if it's a style thing or he knows that game better, or what, but it's night and day to me when he does NCAA vs. NHL... and he really belongs in the studio, NHL 2Night style.
And this remote studio setup stinks to high heaven. Broadcast teams belong in the arena, barring weather or other last-minute emergency it's fine to have the capability to go remote rather than dark.
Can one be paid enough to endure this level of pain?

I read that as they're cheap.TNT says that there are logistical challenges in Edmonton, Winnipeg and Ottawa, especially with the volume of other games they’re broadcasting across the NHL, NBA and MLB. Why are some NHL playoff games being called from an off-site broadcast studio?
Three more first-round playoff games on Turner Sports networks are scheduled to be called from a studio in Atlanta.www.nytimes.com
ESPN2 has Toronto at Ottawa tonight and Weekes tweeted that he was on his way to Ottawa for the game (I guess he stayed at his parents’ house?). But their next game on Saturday is on TBS, so someone will be covering it remotely.I read that as they're cheap.
According to snopes.com the Wild never trailed in the series 2-0. They actually lead 2-1 now.In the West, both the Blues and the Wild climbed back into their series with home wins after trailing 2-0 in their series' ... tales as old as time.
Meh ... tried to do too much combining of points. Either way, a 2-0 series lead ain't all it's cracked up to be.According to snopes.com the Wild never trailed in the series 2-0. They actually lead 2-1 now.
Considering Barkov never even played the puck and it was heading away from him ... yeah? Hard to defend that one. He went for the head on a hit that was going to be interference either way. That's BS any way you slice it. Tampa fans are rolling out the usual defenses but that was a frustrated player taking a head shot when he saw the chance. Period. I have no idea what justification the league has for that not being a game misconduct. If it was violent enough for a major, and resulted in injury, the offender usually gets the gate. That Hagel hit was dirty.
