You don't necessarily know that though. If a trade is made with a LD like Guhle moving on for a forward they just may. Barring that? I think they go forward.
He's been rocketing up the charts like a Beatles single circa 1964 so it may not be a reach by draft day. But Senneke's season is pretty much over. He's injured and not playing and his team is down 3 games to none in the OHL finals.now Basu is saying we are going Sennecke, just like McNagg (who despite my antipathy has picked 3 of our last 5 1st rounders). Now people are claiming it wouldn't be a reach even though he is ranked like 13-15 and we are 5th. If we take him at 5th, we will deserve all the scorn we get.
Why do we have to try and be cute.
There's almost no chance that Guhle gets traded. First, HuGo apparently love him. Second, they are looking to at least be in the mix for a WC spot probably by no later than than the '25-'26 season and trading Guhle will make that possibility way, way less likely. You don't necessarily know that though. that third one is so damningAbsolutely ridiculous rationale.
1) Gretzky was traded and Davidson easily replaces Guhle.
2) What?I like Guhle but he's not irreplaceable
3) WeHave agreed with you.
I’m sure Verbeek is jerking off non stop at the thought of drafting Silayev and I’d be shocked if Hawks haven’t been permanently camped scouting Levshunov down the road at Mich StateDemigod falls to us at 5 in the latest mock from the Athletic
Trade Matheson at his highest value for a great haulAbsolutely ridiculous rationale.

Dickinson won't be able to "replace" what Guhle brings to the table (when he's not injured) for 3-4 years at least. That's a big problem for a team that wants to compete for a playoff spot soon.Absolutely ridiculous rationale.

Silayev seems to hold the key to the top 5. I can't see Buium or Parekh cracking the top 4 so that we are assured of getting Demidov or Lindstrom - I'm assuming the Levshunov goes top 4.Demigod falls to us at 5 in the latest mock from the Athletic

remember who also "rocketed up", Bustitsyn and BustkaniemiHe's been rocketing up the charts like a Beatles single circa 1964 so it may not be a reach by draft day. But Senneke's season is pretty much over. He's injured and not playing and his team is down 3 games to none in the OHL finals.
Besides the knees? As much as I'm hoping for Demidov, there are plenty of doubts with him.
I just don’t see the high end offensive upside. I know he’s raw so it might come but I don’t see it at the moment. If he was 6’, I don’t think he’d even be in the top 20.I think I might feel that Lindstrom is right pick for us. Might have the biggest upside due to the fact that he is a beast... And he's certainly shown he has high end offensive upside too.
Injuries are a fear... But you don't see injuries derail careers nearly as much these days. Of course it still can happen.
There are some rumors out there it's a herniated disc. If true, that could be fatal for his top pick status. Killed Eric Daze's career and really diminished Patrice Bergeron. Really does suck. As much as I'm not a fan of him for us, he's clearly a great kid. Hopefully none of this is true.I think I might feel that Lindstrom is right pick for us. I had back surgery for a herniated disc about 10 years ago. Fully recovered in 6 weeks and haven't had even a sniff of an issue with it since.
