Gorton’s track record suggests his strength is NHL ready pro player transactions vs draft & develop
There’s less than a 1 percent chance that we draft a D with our first pick, assuming we don’t deal it in a package, even if Dickinson is still on the board when we draft. I will stake my reputation on this. This is braintrust that used a 5OA pick on guy because he plays right D. I think they’ve demonstrated that so-called BPA is not their priority. And they may be right. Time will tell.

Sounds like what they were saying about Mike Bossy his last two seasons in the Q with Laval. Just saying. And, BTW, Bossy became a fairly decent two-way player in the NHL. He killed penalties for the Isles too.

If Eiserman can consistently score 30 goals, teams will live with his defensive quirks.
What I would need to know about him is what the coaches on his team have to say about him.
I don't think Eiserman's a terribly difficult player to project at the NHL as we speak. He'll be a very good goal scorer with limitations on the over efficiency of his game. The question is going to be, is there any chance he can develop into a player that can do things beyond that?
