Yeah, my bad. If the pick is deferred to 2026, there is no condition on how high it can be, thus even 1OA is possible that year. And there is a sliver of a chance it gets deferred to 2026 and we end up with CGY's unprotected pick.

My take is that his intention was a clean check and Ritchie dropped a bit right before contact was made, If I'm being objective, I think the 5 and a game was too much. But then the refs also made some iffy calls vs us. If you slow this to .25 it's easier to see what happened.
