2024 NHL Playoffs Thread

Swayman is the reason why Boston is leading this series. If he’s only average, I think they are behind 3-2 in this series.

Days like this are what Wehave dreams about. Remember, he prefers Leaf losses to Canadiens' wins. He will be gripping hard today. We should pray for him,,,

I'm a pass as well.

I have a fundamental belief: I don't ever want to be associated with quitters.

I hear you big guy, this is his third team and despite obvious ability, he doesn't seem to give a shit.

I would only be interested in a 1 year low salary prove it deal.

I also don't like "Sometimes" players. It's one thing if a player has a bad game every now & then, but a big, healthy, in his prime player? A player that every team in the league would be salivating to get? And you never know what you're getting from him? And now that he's got his money, he's suddenly going to change?

No thanks. Let someone else try to figure it out with him.

When people tell you about who they are, whatever. Talk is cheap.

When people show you who they are, believe them:

There's quitting when you know the outcome's over and you just don't want to get injured. There's being fed up with a coach and trying to be a professional until a solution's been reached.

And then there's PLD on that shift.

That will forever be my memory of PLD.

I couldn't ever think of another player at the NHL that more blatantly quit than PLD did. I've seen 16 year old immature kids quit in Junior, and even then it's rare because the coaches can usually see it coming. But that? As a professional in the NHL?

Fucking hell.
