2024 Training Camp Thread

Looks like Columbus took Aston-Reese with a waiver claim and the Ducks grabbed James Reimer.
Aston-Reese grew up playing with Labanc, now they’re NHL teammates.

The oddest claim goes to Vancouver, they claimed Jiri Patera from Boston. Why is that odd? They waived him last week and Boston claimed him. But now that he’s back to Vancouver, he can be sent to the AHL without being waived again.

Solid, low risk grabs by both teams. With Gibson hurt, Anaheim was hurting for somebody to platoon with Dostal and CBJ really, really needed competent checking line guys with Jenner out. Both of them have long track records in the required jobs. Labanc was a good grab by Waddell as well.

The roster the Canes submitted does not include Jackson Blake. It has 13 forwards, 7 dmen and 2 goalies. Bryce Montgomery is the 7th dman. Fast is on IR, Stillman is on LTIR. There is no word on how they cleared Joakim Ryan off the roster, he was on the roster released by the Canes yesterday but he’s showing as a non-roster player on PuckPedia.

They're showing Ryan on the injured non-roster list along with Stillman (and Fast) and Blake loaned to Chicago ... so ... ?? It'd be nice if the team would release some info occasionally

The Canes tweeted it out at 4:05, 20 minutes after I grabbed it from PuckPedia.

Sure ... because everybody's still using that hellsite as a primary source of information
