2025-2026 Off Season Thread - The Rehappening

What the hell is that?? Some jerk infiltrated their system to play a prank and they didn't notice?

Or is that just photoshopped in. I can't believe someone wouldn't mention it in there.
 
as long as we ditch Kampf and Krok, then i have is with about $27m in capspace with this roster:

Obviously we sign Knies, hopefully close to $7m. Which would leave us able to buy 2 forward for $20m.

If Tavares actually gives us a hometown discount, then that leaves us with $15m or so and having to fill one top-end forward spot. or drop a Steeves and then we have $16-17m to add two forwards.

Or we could buy a $7-8m dman and a $7-8m forward. Or have even more if we ship out one of the dmen that makes real money.

That’s not how the league works. Ie Brendan Gallagher has suffered multiple hand injuries… opponents have not amped their hand slashing

Might as well pencil in Marchand as more media seem to believe after leaving bread crumbs in his post series presser he will sign and will likely drag another Panther or two with him (Ekblad was mentioned as the likely candidate)

These narratives can be so ephemeral

Watch Marchand lay a goose egg vs the Canes and everyone will say he’s an old 37 yr old dude who wants too much coin

While he provided a couple of moments, any team with Domi as 3C is not a serious contender with his awful defensive play and horrificly dumb penalties.

If he stays, he has to go to the wing.

Ehlers: $9.5 mill
Duchene: $8.2 mill
Nelson: $6.7 mill
Marchand; $6 mill
Bennett: $5.5 mill
Granlund: $4.5 mill
Boeser: $4.4 mill

Its a horrible year to need two top line forwards in UFA.

Who there is going to be a good value siging? Duchene. Nelson, Maybe Ehlers, Maybe Boeser on a one year deal.
 
Domi was probably our best forwrard this playoffs.

He led the team in even strength scoring this year, just like he did last year, just like he did the year before with dallas into the 3rd round.
