Not absurd at all. Not just Tavares fault, but I've complained enough about players long gone as well. Marleau, Thornton, etc, etc. We never brought actual winners in here to help develop our kids into winners and then wonder why they play like the losers we surrounded them with.

Hey, we already agreed that they should’ve brought in some vets who had won before, but they could’ve done that with Tavares here. Not mutually exclusive as they didn’t have to be expensive 1C or 1D. And Tavares isn’t responsible for these guys not developing their own killer instinct late in series.
