Now imagine how much more he would get actually going to the dirty areas?

He makes much more than both of them combined too. I’m just saying that his aversion to contract doesn’t go unnoticed by other teams.
 
Thw Vegas rumour from before won't be Theodore but what if Vegas wants to move off Pietro.
That's a possibility.
Berube and Pietro again and maybe Reilly does move on as well.

apparently.

Theodore is a very solid but unspectacular top 4 dman. getting a player of Marner's talent level for him should by all rights be a slam dunk.

then again maybe they refused because they figured there was a decent chance Marner would want out, and they could take a crack at him without spending assets.

I get the mockery but it wasn't that crazy of a prediction early on.

in the first few years things looked pretty good. 9 times out of 10 players that are at 34 and 16's level also are stars in the postseason. the Leafs just picked the short straw 4 different times with their high picks, as it turns out.

they've have had enough talent to win Cups in the last decade, but it takes a lot more than that to be a championship organization.

I wasn’t actually mocking. Au contraire, the validity of the prediction is what makes the Leafs an interesting topic every off season the mission is not accomplished.

I remember even asking this board how many cups would satisfy them. It’s weird to say now, but back then, one cup seemed like a very modest request

I think they will try to dump Pietrangelo. He's 35. He has NMC, but it's Vegas.

yeah the road was wide open when we had the 3 guys on entry contracts

normally you get 3 guys like that you're thinking championship. how many players in league history have had multiple 60 goal seasons?

watching it turn out like this tempts one to believe in the validity of curses.
