If they can sign McMann for a cheap extension right now, I would do that too. Give him an extra two years at $2m or whatever if you can get him to agree.
If he does commercials, they will be boring as fuck.
I'd probably want a better handle on what McMann is before i did that.If they can sign McMann for a cheap extension right now, I would do that too. Give him an extra two years at $2m or whatever if you can get him to agree.
Whereever you slot him on paper, you are still asking do i need another top 9 C? and the answer should be yes. Laughton aint itI'm not too hung up on labels. I think Tavares is very clearly still an excellent 2c. In no world is a guy that scores 70+ points a 3c. But he'll be more effective if he has another C in the middle six that can take some of the tougher minutes from him.
Only has one skill (scoring goals)Why they don't want to roll with Robertson and just apparently want to trade him off for nothing is mind-boggling though. Give him a couple of years and $2M and actually let him play. I will be pretty pissed if they dump him for some shitty pick.
Yeah, but he was great in the regular season and if $2M can buy you 20+ goals for a middle sixer, lock him up and just hope he shows better next postseason. He definitely doesn't hurt anyone out there when he's not scoring.I'd probably want a better handle on what McMann is before i did that.
He went full Milk Carton in the playoffs
Laughton is sort of the perfect 4C given his skillset and his reduced salary. Find another guy to be a middle six center, and not Domi.Whereever you slot him on paper, you are still asking do i need another top 9 C? and the answer should be yes. Laughton aint it
He's not C at all IMOLaughton is sort of the perfect 4C given his skillset and his reduced salary. Find another guy to be a middle six center, and not Domi.
Above the fourth line, no. But he's as much a C as anyone else down there. He's not C at all IMO
They dont, clearly. They have more holes at forward obviously but I still think their biggest need is on d. Unfortunately that guy on d is gonna be next to impossible to find unless they had assets to trade for Dobson.
I mean, sure, that doesn't make him a CAbove the fourth line, no. But he's as much a C as anyone else down there.
Yeah I'm not sure he's the guy they need. Perfect world, it's a big, smooth skating two way horse that can completely transform their transition game and get a lot of minutes with Matthews and Willy. Those are the guys that make a difference when games get tight, creating odd man scenarios and whatnot. They dont, clearly.
I think Ekblad is possible if they get silly
We probably are going to see a trade that moves out a D to create room for a new guy (like Ekblad). I don't think they intend to let Rielly go, so it would probably be Carlo or OEL.They have more holes at forward obviously but I still think their biggest need is on d. Unfortunately that guy on d is gonna be next to impossible to find unless they had assets to trade for Dobson.
nah I'm with LOF on this oneYou are the only one of us that think that he could be coming back. You are hereby given permission to gloat should that happen.
