Also too soft. The only wingers we have built to play that style are Knies, Domi, McMann. Marner and Willy playing dump and chase? lol. Holmberg, Jarnkrok, Laughton? C'mon.

The organization can't yammer on about fucking identity and roster build like this.
 
I swear we acquired Scott Laughton just because that name sounds like a tough, gritty, warrior 3C. It’s one of the grittiest names in hockey.

Hard to know what we had the ability to do with how they were blasting the pinches at the point. I mean, it sure feels like we had enough 2-1's and partial breaks to blow this series wide open and just didn't score on them. Imagine if we were actually trying to play that style and were equipped for it...
 
Someone will eventually accept the challenge of trying to be the player/s to fix this team

I didn't advocate for tanking (yet).

I have argued since the Habs series that the Matthews Marner combo doesn't work. You blow that up first. You go through a transition year and use this off season and the next to build something around AM (but secretly hoping for McDavid).

If he keeps being a second tier star then you blow it up and explore tanking in two years regardless of playoffs appearances. He is the highest paid player in the league. He needs to show up.
