I expect Florida to finish the job tomorrow, but the Leafier outcome would be to squeak one out in game 6 (I'm thinking OT) so they have another chance to blow a critical game in front of their home fans
mmmhmm

I think you can add Carolina, Buffalo, Philly.
I can see Briere loving Marner, and Torts is gone, no idea if Tocchet is any differnet.Eh, Tulsky is pretty firm with paying people what the almight abacus says they're worth. I don't think that's an option here. Philly though...sure, maybe. No one goes to Buffalo when they have other options though. No one.
He should take whatever the Leafs offer him if those are truly his other options. Though we’ve seen teams routinely dump contracts to add free agents, so he could end up anywhere.Tampa isn't giving Mitch 12+
They're more or less capped out already next year. Sharks, Utah, Anaheim, Chicago, Islanders all have the cap to make it happen.
Anaheim without the beach
And then what, we add Schenn to replace him? I don’t see how we get better dealing these guys, that’s the conundrum.Nah, it's not bad. 28th highest paid defender in the league, good veteran, history of showing up in the playoffs. Someone will be interested and without expecting us to take an albatross in return. The bigger hurdle is it being a place he'll waive to go imo.

He’s just not getting the $14m he was clearly angling for by not signing in the offseason, or the $12m that proven playoff performer Rantanen got. $10m or $11m, basically topping out at the Willy contract. We’ll see if the Leafs even want him, which I doubt, and how low he’d go to stay.
I meant in terms of growth cycle. Young interesting teams on the cusp of being in the playoffsWhat? Anaheim is basically LA. Columbus is basically not LA.

I love you, and you are a valued member of the community. If only they played Alex Steeves

It's nothing personal. I just don't want to hear a former leafs fan turned rapehawks fan tell us that the leafs made a huge blunder by not playing Alex Steeves. I'd rather hear Paul Maurice tell me how good the leafs are and that I should be proud.I love you, and you are a valued member of the community.
