Around the League: 2019-2020 Regular Season

Colorado has some nice prospects.
Would package Petry + Tatar to get a hold of Byram & Newhook. Not really interested in dealing either for the likes of Jost, Timmins and a 20+ 1st rounder has almost zero chance of being a success with this orgs drafting credibility

Nero needs a street named after him

Senators are retiring Phillips #? Man.... Never had double digit goals, Never broke 25 points in the NHL. Never won an individual trophy, never on a team that won anything.

My Fav stat line from 2010-2011: 82 games played, 1G, 8A, -35.

This team just screams mediocrity.

AVS have recalled 2018 1st round pick Martin Kaut - expected to dress fro tonight’s game vs Isles with MB in attendance...

Kaut underwhlems me, if we are trading anyone of value to Colorado, I would rather look at types like Newhook, Timmins or Jost (although he has struggled this year, I think he has potential) and not Kaut

I don’t think Tatar has more value than Coleman coming into the trade deadline.

Teams are gearing up for the post-seasons and are looking for playoffs performers.
And you guys are underrating Coleman in that regard.

Blake Coleman has become one hell of a player, complete and versatile.

He’s got tons of speed.
He can score has shown by his 22 goals last year.
And he’s already got 21 goals this season on a really bad NJ team.
He is excellent defensively and a top player on the PK in regards to SH chances and SH goals.
He also leads the Devils in hits.
This is a heart and soul guy who never quit on a play and leaves it all on the ice.
A perfect 3rd C on a championship team who’s skill set is gold comes playoffs time.
And the cherry on top of that is his 1.8$M cap hit, with another year remaining on his contract.
This substantially increases the value of Coleman as contenders are usually very close to the cap limit.

Now Tatar is a very good winger who’s having a very productive year and could be useful scoring depth for a playoff team, but teams may be worried about the last time he was acquired at the TDL.
He did not mesh with Vegas and was a non-factor.
Also I don’t think contenders are looking to blow their load on a buttersoft winger.
If you’re looking for a playoff winger, would you target Krieder or Tatar ?
Might as well go for a cheaper Toffoli instead of overpaying for Tatar.

I still think shopping Tatar is the right move for Montreal and he should be able to net at least a 1st rounder.
With the right trading partner, maybe Bergevin could get the same value as Blake Coleman even tho I think that would be a poor trade for the acquiring team.

So yeah I probably would not argue with people saying Tatar’s value may be equal to Coleman’s, but I definitively disagree with the idea that Tatar is worth more.!

Make your paragraphs three or four sentences and you are a post god. Very good message bro. But Do not make a paragraph longer than three or four sentences. Its the new way But your post was great.

Nathan Gerbe playing pedal to the metal and continues to show why he earned that new contract.

Didn’t anybody told him he was only 5’4 !?

Thomas Tatar is a better offensive player than Coleman, I mean one is pro rated to hit 70 points while the other is going to hit about 50

Not saying Coleman isn't a good offensive player for a team like TB who has its top six pretty much set Coleman is a good fit as a complimentary offense.

For a team looking to add to the top six tatar may be a better fit.

Coleman is the Swiss army knife player who plays anywhere on your top 9 and plays a complete game

Tatar was a reject in Vegas and is known as a floater even though he has looked good for us

Coleman has a great contract and has more value come playoff time IMO

Its like saying who do you want in a playoff battle........ Tatar or Dano

I take Dano any day of the week
