Around the League: 2019-2020 Regular Season

Coleman is the Swiss army knife player who plays anywhere on your top 9 and plays a complete game

Tatar was a reject in Vegas and is known as a floater even though he has looked good for us

Coleman has a great contract and has more value come playoff time IMO

Its like saying who do you want in a playoff battle........ Tatar or Dano

I take Dano any day of the week

The part that I bolded is just moronic, no offense.

Tatar is not even close to a floater, the guy competes and plays in traffic.

The Vegas situation was strange and most likely had more to do with a player that spent 11 years with one organization and got traded...the adjustment may not have went smoothly but his play was in nay way in decline.

Nyquist , Tatar , etc.... are all bundled in the same category

They don't have the same value as 2 way players come playoff time

Depends what I'm looking for, if I need offense and scoring ability for my top 6, I take Tatar. If I need a two way center swiss army type that can play anywhere in the lineup and in all situation, then I take Danault. For Tampa, Coleman was a better fit as their top 6 is already stacked.

Cmon , you know what I mean

He has produced for us but his reputation isn't a 2 way player , he was rejected in Vegas , couldn't get a sniff on their top 9

Its the same with Max who finally showed up in last years playoffs with Vegas after years of playoff failure .

Depends what a team is looking for.

TB has a top six that is pretty much set, they would likely be more in the market for good third liners.

I would think a team like Edm would look more at a tatar than Coleman

If your gunning for a long playoff run Coleman is the way to go

He plays a complete 2 way game and can play the PP or PK

Whatever his "reputation" was is totally irrelevant IMO. I've seen with my own eyes for two years that he's a very good player with a pretty high compete level. I don't give a crap about his so-called "reputation."

The Zamboni driver was called to be the Hurricane goalies after Reimer and Mrazek left the game. Yikes, imagine if the Canes miss the playoffs cause of this.

That was a classic haha
funny thing...why are the Leafs providing this guy as the backup goalie. He could have easily lost this game for the Canes. Why are they not providing a university goalie, for example. The league have to look at this.

Pretty sure the home team always provides the emergency back up for both teams.

yes but why an employee of the team and not a better quality goalie?
Cause they pay these guys $500 a game... and of all 31 teams they might get into action like once (for a partial game) every 5 years. That's like 1 in like 10000 games.

Seems like an odd thing to really complain about when the guy got the win in the only game any of us remember an emergency back up playing more than a couple minutes.

500 bucks - heck plenty of better quality goalies would take that money for an evening of just hanging around. if the leafs could muster more shots they would have won that game easily.
