Around the League 2019-2024 Edition

Moneyhands still was better at that age.

24 yrs old

Monahan: 78GP 34G 82PTS (82GMS: 36G 86PTS)
Dubois: 41GP 19G 48PTS (82GMS: 38G 96PTS)

No. He wasn't. He also of course has broken like a piece of fine china dropped on a tile floor since.

Who was saying that?

Boston Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron is considered one of the best two-way centres of all time and has consistently been one of the league’s great leaders. After 11 years as the Bruins’ alternate captain, he had the “C” sewn onto his sweater on Jan. 7, 2021, and became the 20th captain in franchise history. It’s a good sign for any player whose name is mentioned in the same conversation as Bergeron. Young Montréal Canadiens centre Nick Suzuki is one such player. Suzuki had a breakout season in 2020-21, shining in the Habs’ run to the Stanley Cup Final. It’s almost as if he was created in a lab in an attempt to clone Bergeron.

if the Canadiens are to avoid a regression similar to the ones experienced after previous playoff successes, a lot rests on the shoulders of Suzuki, who sometimes draws comparisons to Boston’s do-it-all captain, Patrice Bergeron.

I tried ChatVolc, it says "LOL! what are you, some kind of idiot? Suzuki isn't even close to a Patrice Bergeron. Slap yourself. Now do it again."

They probably just meant it like tage Thompson is Mario.

In other words they are of similar height and nothing else

I hope he bought his house in the Bay Area and isn't renting. That way he's building equity while he's stuck on a rebuilding team for the next few years.

They have the opportunity to unload him for the least amount of retention possible right now and they're going to bottle it. Dude is a tweaked ankle away from being in a knife fight with Doughty, Seguin, Jones and Bobrovsky for the worst contract in hockey again.

Price has the worst contract in the league

Excuse me?

I think the media makes this stuff up to get attention much like the silly hot takes on the Leafs. there is simply no way this is true, or could ever happen.
Literally every available player will go for less than the media claims. ROR some still claim will get 2 1st rounders. LOL. And as young and 'Cheap" as Chycrun is, no one is meeting Arizona's demands and he's been available for almost a year.

It is very clearly a buyers' market, which isn't great for media hot takes.
