Still would have been the right trade imo. Could probably have signed Dubois to the same contract as Suzuki too.

I'm not so sure. He was cracking 60 points at 20 yrs old and then started fighting with bad coaches. His SH% and oiSH% are higher than his career norms, but nobody should be surprised if under a new coach a 24 yr old former top pick who dropped 27/61 in his 2nd season in the league turns into a consistent 70+ point centreman, and his 2 way play is good too.

You guys definitely should have done the deal.
