Majority of MLS Allstars game viewers are Liga MX fans... so it's not exactly apples to apples. I think TUDN was 1.2 mil of the 1.5.

Having watched the game the big difference is they are actually competing against eachother.

Losing to the MLS is like having an ECHL team draw more fans than the Raptors.

Zeke is correct. I don't know a single person new to hockey who became a fan after going to a live leafs game. Know plenty TFC converts after a live experience tho. I'm not an MLS guy but the live experience is on another level compared to the NHL.

Then the NHL shouldn't have this many problems selling the game, but yet they do and after a few decades of Gary insisting on the sun belt being the future. Maybe if some of those coyote dollars were spent helping to make the game cool in LA again there would be some cultural traction.

I can say with all honesty that I much prefer watching regular season leafs games in my home. That shouldn't be an opinion that anyone holds about a sports team. Can't say that about the Raps or even TFC.

Been lucky enough to catch the Leafs in 10+ NHL buildings now and the ACC crowd was the worst and I say that almost having been in fist fights twice in Buffalo
