At best it's a weird HR icebreaker type of thing that will always make a certain group of folks very uncomfortable.

At worst it's intimidation and a power attempt, particularly if the bit about him putting up pictures on his TV for everyone to see is true. He's a weird ass dude, but we knew that already.
 
I actually have a feeling Babs is innocent in this particular case. The one thing I don't get is this idea if you get to know each other better you'll play better on the ice. Babs also might learn some info he can use against you.
Babs overthinks things a lot. We know this from his line-matching in the playoffs.
 
That has to be among the unwritten HR rules in most corporations. Don't ask if someone how far along they are, dont ask the office Pat if he/she has dick and balls and dont ask people to put pics from their phone up on the big screen

It's definitely seeming like a case of players having pitchforks out for a coach that they very clearly despised, likely for good reason. Doesn't sound half as bad as some of the other stuff he has done though on the surface of it. Mostly just weird as fuck but falls in line with him being obsessed with players who eat right, sleep right, have a good family, etc.

I just can't imagine he was actually searching for Jenner's hard cock. He's no Jonas.

Depends, is he asking them to hand him their phone and he's scrolling through the pictures himself? Or is he asking them to show him a picture of his family? One of these is horrifying. The other is just weird as fuck.
 
It would have been an easy thing if he announced it to the team and said bring in 3 pics of what you did in the summer and the players could pick what they showed over the course of a day.

We have had ice breakers where we shared family/animal pics at work.

My understanding of the “Spitting chicklets” allegation is that Babcock asks them to bring up their photos and hand him their phone. And then he air drops the photos on their phones onto the big screen TV in his office.

clearly whatever he did was enough to rattle the player's cages sufficiently that one or more of them spilled to Spittin Chiclets.

so I'm skeptical that it was a, 'can you please show me a photo of your family from your phone' kinda thing.

and yeah, his track record as a tyrant is a relevant factor here too, for me at least.
 
I mean a reasonable starting question is - why does a professional men's hockey coach have any reason to be looking at the personal photographs of his players?
