On the flipside, when he was still playing in the NHL in his early 40’s, he was adamant that he wanted to keep playing pro hockey until he was 50.

So he might still be playing regardless of sponsorship/financial issues.

BTW, can someone explain to me why the NHL decided Arizona would be one of the 2 teams that go overseas to Australia to promote the game? LOL. What other league would send their worst franchise? Who makes these marketing decisions in the NHL?
