Around the League 2019-2024 Edition

I don’t either.

I presume the hockey Mecca of the world has the premier training venues, trainers, etc.?

This doesn’t raise an eyebrow for me.

I'm sure new york or chicago where he actually has lived most of his life have premier training venues, trainers, etc.

If he's trying to sign a 1 yr deal so that he can land a multi year next summer with the cap going up, Toronto is a way, way better place to do it than Buffalo. You might score a bit more in Buffalo getting a bigger role on a mediocre team, but we have a proven track record of getting motherfuckers paid here with the extra attention.

If he was just hurt last year and not washed, that would be a really nice add...but he sure looked washed.

At least he’d be really clean.

the Leafs are over the cap as it is, but obviously Kane would be like a Klingberg type pure offence add where you need to deploy him appropriately. I'm not even sure he can come back though. I understand hip resurfacing means end of the pro career typically.

You can always use a little offense especially down the line up.

I'd do it only if cheap and keep him on ltir until he's good and ready. 1 year deal to boost his numbers

I mean, he's crazy wealthy by mere mortal standards but by NHL ownership standards, he's Eugene Melnyk part 2. He's a billionaire, but he's a small "b" billionare, a very small b.

The Senators sure as fuck better make money, this guy isn't floating 10's of millions in losses or coming out of his own pockets on Lebreton Flats stuff.

I'm curious how much of this deal is financed and will require debt repayments.

I don't see how this really improves anything other than maybe this guy isn't an insane douchebag(?)

the sens market continues to face the issues of the sens market, even if the arena is in town.

I'm not sure how the fundamentals have changed any there.

They didn't include the 80s stats, that's for sure.

Just looking at Gretzky real quick, he got to 50 points in 23 games twice (81-82, 82-83), 50 in 18 (83-84), 50 in 19 (84-85), didn't look beyond that.

But still, crazy point totals.
