In retrospect the 2019 leafs off-season was a complete disaster, set the team back and continues to have reverberations.

Kadri for Barrie + kerfoot (Barrie plays one season, kerfoot three and both leave as UFAs).

Marleau, a first and seventh for a sixth (first becomes Seth Jarvis).

Leafs give Kapanen 3/3.2 avg (Kapanen bombs and gets traded one year later for a first and Hallander)

Leafs give johnsson 4/3.4 avg (johnsson bombs and gets traded one year later for Joey Anderson)

Dubes get butt sexed into no discount on Marner or Matthews.
