When you juxtapose this aspect of his personality with that fact that he’s a communist, it makes it especially funny.

Definitely the kind of guy who, under a communist dictatorship, would publicly present as a committed ideologue, while in private would bypass the bread lines and keep himself personally well-stocked with all of the finest wines, liquor & foods through his personal connections with the politburo.
