Sure, Bill Zito might be smart but his playing career only got him as far as the Yale University hockey team where he was a fringe player who never got drafted.

a really good team thats made a bunch of rally smart moves that probably wins the cup this year.

but their is also an inherent advantage both these florida teams have in the contracts they are able to hand out. players are clearly signing for less

Trouba is absolute garbage defensively. This is not a new development but as he gets slower it's going to continue to get more noticeable.

Trouba is pretty much just a 3rd pair cheap shot artist now. 2 more years at $8 million AAV.

If only we also just loaded up on skilled offense, we'd be waiting to play them in the finals in what would've been the most entertaining finals matchup in like forever.
 
Feeling so much jealousy. Zeke may have jumped already. It was just a week ago that he was celebrating a Dallas vs NYR finals. Since then it's been nothing but Edmonton and Florida. The guy is a walking curse. Maybe he's the reason the Leafs are so Leafy.
 
It shouldn't be so hard to imagine us playing like we do in the regular season in just one playoff year, but if we did, we'd be waiting on the other side of this, and then just imagine Matty and McDavid trading plays for 7 games. Hockey heaven.
 
Dallas just hasn't been able to buy one when they've needed it this series. Chance after chance that they just can't bury, and then Edmonton inevitably just pulls away.
