Their performance will dictate if they are being taught correctly.

I simply dont understand why the Habs choice of rebuild is right but the Hawks is wrong.

Montreal, apparently, has a bunch of guys too good for the AHL that should be in the NHL.

Chicago does not have that yet, so they signed a bunch of replacement level vets to short term deals to placehold until any of the kids are ready.

They also signed Bertuzzi and Tuevo to modest term, modest dollar deals so that Bedard can actually skate with someone with talent, and in a few years, these guys can move frop top 6 to middle 6 roles and not be a detriment to a rising cap.
 
All you really have is Bedard and I'll remind you Edmonton and Toronto, who stroke their lineups raw, have yet to produce a cup.

So while you have an amazing piece to build around you are definitely behind other teams. I can see why they did what they did because I finally looked at your prospects. Habs are too far down the line to sign guys like Chicago did and I'm ecstatic they didn't. That's where my hope lies, in a competent front office, not Dach or Anderson.

Wouldn't be flaming out....he wasn't a great pre draft producer and hasn't been even a good point producer post draft. He'll probably end up a really solid 3rd line winger. Has nothing to do with him being a Hab now, though I'd be lying if I said that I didn't enjoy that prediction a bit more than I would if he were a Shark or a Utah FC'er or whatever the fuck they are now.
