I dunno he did look good in the playoffs I thought. That's 2 1st rounders they just lost. They are looking to contend, so I don't really hold him not regularly cracking the lineup against him too much

I just don't know that matching the offer sheets actually helps them. the correct move was to have the cap room to offer them fair contracts

$80+ mil in career earnings for a guy who hit PPG once and that was in the WHL.

Doesn't even look to be a guy I would bring in on league min.

That Ryan Johansen for Seth Jones trade is pretty funny in retrospect.

A 6’3” potential #1 center and a 6’4” potential #1 defenseman traded for each other in their early 20’s in the kind of blockbuster, young star-for-young star deal you rarely see in the NHL.

Then both go on to become two of the most overpaid busts of the last 10-15 years.
