If they didn’t like the offers for Saros, they’re really not going to like the ones they get for Askarov.
Goalie prospects who haven’t panned out yet aren’t exactly the most high-value trade chip. Particularly ones who’d rather demand a trade or go home to Russia than report to the AHL.

I'm quite sure he isn't.
Attitude mainly I think. If he wanted to put the effort in I'm sure he could be better, I'm not keen on chancing it though.

At this point Laine either has to commit to training and playing a style that he seems to have rejected since his draft year and become the superstar many believe he can be - or accept the role (and salary) of a 2nd/3rd line player who will play a very defined and sheltered role in a line-up.
