Around the League 2019-2024 Edition

Ottawa is really bad and I think they are capped out. They need elite talent, preferably down the middle.

What would you do if you had control of that team? Trade everything not tied down? Maybe one of their "core" players (Chabot), but is that enough?

Move giroux, Chabot, perron etc. Opens up 18.5MM in cap space, plus the cap increase.

Norris and pinto are good enough to be your 2&3 centre's but both would need to take big steps to be a 1/2 tandem. Determine if you want them in those roles at the price you're paying, if not then move 1 of them.

Stutzle, Brady shitbags and batherson are good wingers but maybe move 1 to help bring in that #1 C.

Kreider is a LW, but that would be a pretty big move for NYR to do.

Trouba they'll have to sweeten the deal to dump. He sucks and is on a shit contract.

Kreider should still have some value I would think, but I haven't looked at his nerdies in a while.
 
Of course they'd want to dump Trouba's contract any way they could. He stinks.

Zibanejad should be the next guy to move. He's paid a ton to be a pp specialist.

As for how good they are - they got off to red hot 5-0-1 start and have been .500 since, and worse by the eye test. Would be smart to get rid of some of their bad contracts while they still have some "winner" smell left on them.
