Kapanen Brown Podkolzin in the top 6 of the "deepest forward group" these oilers have had.
Move giroux, Chabot, perron etc. Opens up 18.5MM in cap space, plus the cap increase.Ottawa is really bad and I think they are capped out. They need elite talent, preferably down the middle.
What would you do if you had control of that team? Trade everything not tied down? Maybe one of their "core" players (Chabot), but is that enough?

Kreider is a LW, but that would be a pretty big move for NYR to do.
I keep seeing the "kicking tires" regarding Kadri,
But I am intrigued by the idea of Nick Bjugstad, as a 3C (6, 6" is a nice commodity to have on a checking line.)
Didn't they already dump Trouba but he said no?Of course they'd want to dump Trouba's contract any way they could. He stinks.
Zibanejad should be the next guy to move. He's paid a ton to be a pp specialist.
As for how good they are - they got off to red hot 5-0-1 start and have been .500 since, and worse by the eye test. Would be smart to get rid of some of their bad contracts while they still have some "winner" smell left on them.
they've been looking to get out of the Trouba deal for awhile now. can't really blame them, eitherRangers are 12-6. Why would they be looking to shake anything up? It’s a bullshit rumor.
