Sure, but maybe you wait around patiently till the deadline and see if some team runs into a couple of devastating injuries on D and actually needs him, or something like that. Doing this to the captain midseason was a pretty shitty thing that, unless he was hated in the locker room, might not sit well with the team.

Trouba's not great and definitely not cap efficient but probably an upgrade for the ducks.
