Gotta say Damien Cox nailed it this morning on the radio about the Leafs and how they "Listened to their audience" and always bring in grit/physical players at the deadline and ignore scoring and hired Berube. This "Git/Snot" stuff has sent the Leafs in a direction they are not suited for. What is their style exactly? They have 0 direction. They aren't even ranked very high defensively.

We have never once leaned into the obvious identity of the organization. You don't want to be fast and score a bunch of goals? Cool, then you should have traded marner, nylander, and Rielly 4-5 years ago. You can't construct the core to play one type of hockey and then the rest of the roster to play a different type...and turning race cars into snowplows is stupid as well.

The lack of identity is the fault of the front office, not the core.
