These guys are totally going to blow the franchise’s perfect record against the Sens in the playoffs, aren’t they?

Would be an amazing fresh new humiliation for the Shanaplan-era to heap onto this fanbase.
 
The playoff picture in the east won't look like that in April. Far too many teams vying for the last two spots.

Retroactively ruining the only shred of happiness Leaf fans have had this century would be a fantastic lingering fart for Shanny to leave behind as he exits the team.

Not that I don’t want to see Shanahan and everyone else connected to him cleared out.

But it’s also worth keeping in mind that ultimate decision on who replaces him is now entirely in the hands of Ted Rogers’ MAGA-loving failson Eddie.

So we’re likely fucked no matter what.

Losing to the Habs again would suck, but it’d also be old hat.

Losing to the Sens would be far worse. The one, singular pathetic playoff “achievement” this fanbase can hang their hats on this century is that the one fanbase that is obsessed with and hates us more than any other has been thoroughly beclowned every time they’ve faced us.

Having that taken away would be worse than losing again to a Hab team this Leaf core group has already lost to in almost the most humiliating possible fashion.

Philly taxpayers should burn the city to the ground if a single penny of public funding goes to pay for this. Their current arena opened in 1996, only 29 years ago. In 2031 it will be only 35 years old.

Fucking ridiculous.
 
We are seeing this more and more. Once stadiums get 25-30 years old they want new ones. Braves already got a new stadium from the 96' one they got for the Olympics. NFL's big reason to leave St.Louis was the stadium was no longer ranked top 10 in NFK
