Around the League 2019-2024 Edition

I really can’t see Crosby going anywhere. He doesn’t take the discounted contracts he’s taken if being a lifetime member of one franchise wasn’t important to him.

And if he did decide to leave, even if he was the world’s biggest Hab fan growing up, he’s not going to a rebuilding team that has no goalie and nothing resembling a potentially championship-caliber core group in place.

It's funny that we were in the type of rebuild scenario 6 years ago that would have made a lot of sense for a "Crosby" to be interested in, but we got Temu Crosby instead, for way longer and more money....but when Crosby is maybe ready for that, all that was available to fulfill his childhood dream was a Temu version of the Leafs' rebuild.

Life just isn't fair.

Crosby improves the Habs roster greatly. I do agree however.

What would a deal for 2.5 years of Crosby look like?

If mitchy is willing to sign in pitt I would consider a deal for Crosby that included him (would need to be a bigger deal)

If you want to win, it's probably a good idea to load up on guys who have won elsewhere. But the Leafs instead decided to load up on players who choked or otherwise failed elsewhere, like Tavares, Thornton, Marleau, and Spezza. Honestly, what did you think would happen?
