Around the League 2019-2026 Edition

Yeah can't lose this one if it's between leafs and bolts. Though I'm sure there must be other teams involved. Fuck them too tho, all in the east.

Cowan, Danford, McCabe, 1st - ok.

McCabe a fucking top notch shut down D signed for 4 years, young studly Cowan maybe a 60+ point guy this year and controlled forever, Danford potentially a top four guy in the next year or two, and a 1st to top it off. That is a LOT for one guy. Throwing Knies in there is insane.

If we lose out on a super elite Dman to the fucking bolts i will be very sad. Letting them go from Hedman to Werenski extends their window indefinitely.
Why? Just losing Hagel makes them older and weaker in a big way. Not to mention other guys on top of him. Adding Werenski doesn't suddenly make them unstoppable.

This year only

Season

1. Moser 79gms, 37.3toi% (+0.2dzs%), 55.7xgf% (+1.2rel), 0.47p1/60, 1.02p/60
2. Raddysh 73gms, 35.3toi% (+0.3dzs%), 56.3xgf% (+1.7rel), 1.07p1/60, 1.56p/60

Playoffs

1. Moser 7gms, 40.9toi% (-1.9dzs%), 59.1xgf% (+5.9rel), 0.44p1/60, 0.89p/60
2. Raddysh 7gms, 38.8toi% (-1.3dzs%), 58.8xgf% (+3.9rel), 0.00p1/60, 0.00p/60

Ok i take it back a bit - i usually look at 2yr stats.

But looking at just this year's stats they were pretty close - moser got slightly more 5v5 minutes but that's probably due to raddysh getting so much PP time, with similar difficulty and effectiveness, but much more production by Raddysh.

At the end of the day, John has to take the attitude that he simply can't lose to Tampa here. Have to do anything it takes.

Except Knies obviously. The winger is untouchable for the top d in the world.

The Knies part of it would suck but the thing that would make it dumb is adding THREE more key pieces to the offer to make it happen. I’ll trust that we’re not that stupid and will stand aside and let TB be the idiots to trade 3 key guys for 1.

Sparkling nerd stats aside, it’s a tough sell to Columbus fans to trade Werenski for a package centered around a 26 year-old defenseman whose career highs are 7 goals & 31 points.

Much more difficult than the guy they just targeted—Thomas Harley—who’s 24 and has seasons of 15 & 16 goals and 47 & 50 points under his belt already.

I mean its wins that sell the fans in the end. Not names.
