He's going to end up in Montreal, isn't he?

I'd be happy to give him a chance at GM.

I dunno, the thought of unintentional tanking doesn't seem all that interesting to me.Oy vey what?
Where did I say that’s what I want? I was just wondering what your concern is about him. I think he’ll be in the mix if MB is not brought back but I don’t think he’s a clear favorite either.I dunno, the thought of unintentional tanking doesn't seem all that interesting to me.
But hey, to each their own if that's what you want.
Stoic & steady mindedness is paramount for a GM....that’s not who St.Patrick is or ever will be. The rage factor was also why Scotty was not a very good GM...and St.Patrick’s rage is far far worseWhere did I say that’s what I want? I was just wondering what your concern is about him. Anybody from Quebec and is in hockey will be taken into consideration.Where did I say that’s what I want? I was just wondering what your concern is about him. I think he’ll be in the mix if MB is not brought back but I don’t think he’s a clear favorite either.

At the time he was having success with building junior teams, hated to lose, and was a winner. I was also curious and felt we had little to lose. I thought Bergevin would give us more of the same. ....which he did. Gainey, of course, was a winner as well. So was Yzerman. Different results.Anybody from Quebec and is in hockey will be taken into consideration.
My concern is, if his name was anything other than Patrick Roy, nobody in their right mind would even consider him for a second.
What would make Patrick Roy desirable outside of his name, and what does his name have to do with his capabilities to manage an NHL franchise?
He was terrible - yes he drafted Andreychuk, and his US high school focus yielded Barrasso & Housley, but his team building was just as bad as MB, which is why he was promptly booted out / forced to retire, and went back to coaching.Scotty WAS a good GM.
That's how I felt then. Probably still do.I feel Roy would be either extreme, either he would be amazing or completely tank the franchise, unwittingly. Either way might be a positive outcome.
He’s a wild card and you really don’t want one in big business.I feel Roy would be either extreme, either he would be amazing or completely tank the franchise, unwittingly. Either way might be a positive outcome.
just needs some of the Carcillo mushroomsYeah, the concussion stuff is scary. There are some that get a ton and are seemingly fine, then there are some that just get a few and they're toast.
I hope he's able to have a long and steady life without too many lingering issues.

Or he he could just turn out to be mediocre.
