Wouldn’t it be something if a Poehling for Glass deal were to manifest at some point..
Laval would be stacked

So happy Vegas refused to include Glass in the deal for Pacioretty and we had to settle for Suzuki instead. He's fallen mightily
So what happens first?
- TBay acquires Eichel w la femme Nikita on LTIR
or
- TBay misses the playoffs, wins the lottery and grabs Wright
So you mean other teams can blow top-6 draft picks?Laval would be stacked
UnpossibleSo you mean other teams can blow top-6 draft picks?

Yeah, the Bergevin apologists always conveniently forget that Suzuki got here by accident, not by design. So happy Vegas refused to include Glass in the deal for Pacioretty and we had to settle for Suzuki instead.
Might want to do some research on that first...other teams dont blow a decade of draft picks
No one is like us............we blow multiple decadesMight want to do some research on that first...
Yet Habs have been more competitive in the last decade than 2/3 of NHL teams. InterestingNo one is like us............we blow multiple decades

Yup - That’s why my theory is even the best scouting directors have a 5-year half life of peak performance max before reverting to norm (league avg) - and that peak performance is mainly driven by recency bias of having knowledge of preteen/early teen scouting insider info of upcoming prospect pools and/or close connections to management / coaches at prospect levels before they change positions / move on.a bunch are like us
get the odd Price, McD, Maxpac but mostly suck
It’s not an exact science but you can’t fuk up every year like usYup - That’s why my theory is even the best scouting directors have a 5-year half life of peak performance max before reverting to norm (league avg) - and that peak performance is mainly driven by recency bias of having knowledge of preteen/early teen scouting insider info of upcoming prospect pools and/or close connections to management / coaches at prospect levels before they change positions / move on.
Even Al Murray was outstanding when Stevie Y brought him in 2011-2015, now has reverted to norm over last 6-years.
There isn’t a single team in the NHL that drafts top talent out of nowhere (Point, Kucherov, Vasilevsky, Cirelli) over a period of 7, 8, 9 years+ unless they’ve been getting high picks consistently
Cherry picking there. In tonight's lineup, we had 4 players that were drafted by the organization. In comparison, the Sharks had ten players they drafted along with one player they signed as undrafted UFAs. And they haven't been all that good at drafting in the last few years.
Romanov, Lehkonen, Caufield combined for 2 total AHL games. Gallagher played 36 games + 1 rehab game last season.
Saying that other organizations draft bad too is true, but it's also utterly meaningless.
The way this organization has handled drafting and development since The Charlatan has been in power has been a complete failure. No ifs, ands or buts about it.
Fine. How about... Every single team in the NHL that played today?Cherry picking there.
Who cares if SJ has more drafted players, they suck.
Still fail to see your point. So 30 other teams too and the one that wins the cup did what? Have the exact right blend?
Philosophies may be different by results are the same.
