It's a solid insurance plan cheap.
As I’ve been saying, I expect cap ceiling to break $100M threshold within 3-years
I dunno, call me old-fashioned, but I think that contract is fucking insane.
How do you feel about Suzuki?

Slightly overpaid, but otherwise no complaints. He's an NHL caliber #2 center and that's the going rate. How do you feel about Suzuki?
I mean... I don't see much difference between his contracts and the ones you listed. He has the tools for 30-40 goals a year
Way better than the disgusting contracts handed out to Skinner , Gally , Okposo , Hayes , etc...
This is the risk you take on young core pieces , not the vets who barely make it to year 3 of a 7-8 deal .
Yup. And if he posts another 38 goal season and asks for more money than he initially did, then shit, good for him. He gets paid even more. But it's not like he'll go from $7.1M to $9M if he repeats, he might get a bump to $7.75M to $8M. If you have 35-40 goal player who happens to be a giant, you don't worry about paying a little extra.Yeah I’m always weary of those one year wonders. Wait at least for repeats before the big bucks
