My point is that it’s not like Hossa would would only sign with top contenders. The fact that he went to the finals back to back with Montreal and Dallas is quite amazing.
And total fluke

No team ever makes it to the Stanley Cup finals as a fluke. A bit of luck sure but you need to win 3 best of 7 series to get there. I don't even believe in flukes for one best of 7 series. Upsets, yes. Flukes, no.
