Me too. I won the lottery was more often with Florida's pick. I think i got 2nd with the Habs pick once and I got 1st and 2nd multiple times with the Cat's pick.
 
When we get a team that breaks out with a season for the ages, we have some inkling it is in the cards. Something has been brewing, leading up to a point. If anything, we thought Boston was about to go the other way.

Philly did something similar in 79-80, after seemingly going into a decline period the previous couple of years. (They ended up losing in the finals). Other than that, no other case like this comes to mind off the top of my head.
 
Who does Buf have in their prospect pool the Habs could potentially target? 4-pts out of wild card spot, and Pegula’s gotta be itching at the bit to see his team in the playoffs…

Perfect receipe for a 1st or grade B+ prospect overpayment…
 
Jiri Kulich, but he's probably untouchable. Noah Oslund too.

I think the most realistic asset they have is their first from this year.

Rosen could be had but dont like him , wouldnt mind Qinn or Krebs

The other 2 are untouchable , need cheap players when Dahlin and others get paid
 
Yeah, their having a great year and their goaltending has been great. When Ullmark comes back to Earth, their record will look a little less cartoonish.
